This Saturday, 7th September, we’re asking the people of Herefordshire to join in with a Day of Action for Herefordshire’s rivers and be a part of the restoration of our rivers and streams from the mighty River Wye to the streams and brooks running though our towns and villages.
Join us!
Join a colourful cast of characters, including Goddess and Lady Wye, at 10am by the High Town Hereford Bull. (Celebratory wildlife and river-themed costumes welcome!) From here we will meander our way to, at 11am, the ‘old Essex Arms site, which we wlil together pledge to transform it to a thriving wetland nature reserve.
The creation of this new nature reserve is part of a larger plan to revitalise Hereford as a river city – restoring the streams and rivers that run through it and connecting people to the past, present and future of its dynamic waterways.
