Wye July with Friends of the Lower Wye at Monmouth

A great mixture of groups, clubs, organisations and artisan businesses that all have a connection with the river or valley will be at this Friends of the Lower Wye event.

We would like to show the public how important the river and valley is for not only our health but that of the wildlife too.

The event will have a procession starting at The Old Monnow Bridge, Monmouth headed up by Lady Wye, the Algae Monster and the dance music of a Samba Band.

Many of the stands will be interactive to encourage young people to get involved in understanding the issues of the river.

We have the VW Classic Camper Van club display, Gwent Wildlife Trust, Monmouth Meadows Group, SARA river rescue and more!

Try your hand at doing a polluted water test at our Citizen Scientists stand.

There will be a Kidz Zone, Music, Poetry and story readings by local authors.

Buy a Waffle from a classic Volks Wagon, or enjoy a Fresh Coffee from the Carburettor Coffee Company. Wood fired Pizza and Ice Cream.

A free family friendly fun day not too be missed!
